Demeulemeester!

I didn’t get around to any fragrance sampling today, but I did spray on Comme des Garcons Luxe Patchouli, just because I like it — sometimes it’s nice to take a break from sampling the unknown and wear something I already like, without hesitation or equivocation.

I did, however, manage to score a sweet pair of Ann Demeulemeester boots, so the day is not a total loss:

This is the first Demeulemeester anything I’ve owned, and it’s certainly not going to be the last. Fantastic construction and terrific design. She manages to make a military stye boot look and wear like a high-fashion item.

P.S. — We’re having a discussion about the Ready to Wear (RTW) Spring/Summer 2009 collections over here.

OMG, I am clutching my chest… must have those boots!! Where did you get them?

Tell me about it! I’m wearing them as I type this. I don’t usually wear shoes in the house, but these are awesome and I love looking at them. The washed-out olive-drab color is fantastic.
I picked them up from a website called The Corner — they sell only men’s high-fashion items, but if you know what men’s size fits you, you can find some great stuff there that isn’t yet sold out (or even offered) everywhere else: The Corner
They have a good selection of Ann Demeulemeester items.

Thanks for the hot tip, sadly my feet are too tee-tiny to fit in any of the men’s sizes they offer. :-( Will keep prowling Barney’s!

Those must be some teensy, tiny little twinkle-toes you have there!
