Success! She sprayed it on immediately after receiving it in the mail and then sat down and fired off her email to me. It's good to be a giver. :) I had originally selected Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan for her gift, but then canceled that order and went with the Parfumerie Generale, instead. I think Ambre Sultan is great, but it's not instantly lovable from the get-go like L'Oiseau de Nuit, and that's what I was looking for. I was really (really!) looking forward to Aesop Mystra, and it was just foul beyond belief. Same with Celestial Smoke. I'm going to have to learn to approach these little sample vials with fewer preconceptions. The sis' birthday is in a couple of days, and I'm eagerly awaiting the news of a thumbs-up. C'mon PG!
